Remember & Celebrate...

One of my favorite traditions of Relay for Life is the Luminaria ceremony. It’s where the teams of Relay decorate paper bags, put a little sand in the bottom and at night light a candle for people they know that are fighting cancer and to remember the ones they’ve lost.
It’s usually a pretty emotional time for Relay participants. Last year our campsite had 5 Luminaria lined up to support the loved ones we were there to walk for; this year I want to quadruple that number (at least).
I have been brainstorming a list of people I know and have come up with 9 or so; and they say everyone knows someone who has fought or is fighting cancer. So here’s my plea; leave me a comment, write me an e-mail … send me a messenger bird – whatever your method is, let me know who you would like us to decorate and light a luminary in honor of / to remember at Relay on June 12th & 13th.
In Love, Abby
