I know I should have and could have posted last night, but by the time I got home from work, the computer was the last thing on my mind. I apologize!
Mom is doing okay. She's had better days, but overall this is a good stay at Stanford for her. She had a CT Scan yesterday morning, and then was able to sit around with Shannon and nap.
Dr. McHale came in and told her that the good news is the cancer isn't pushing on her main arteries causing narrowing, it's the fluid. She's seeing a pulmonologist today to see what they can do about the fluid around her heart. It's a sticky situation, but we should know more tonight.
The downside of Dr McHale's CT scan is that they found two more small nodules (Spots) of cancer in her upper left lung. That isn't causing any issues directly to her hospital stay, but obviously MORE cancer is not what we ordered.
Our spirits and hope are high that she'll get back on her feet this weekend. She's doing pretty well so far.
Thank you for all your love and support. You're wonderful.
